An interesting Easter egg in GTA Liberty City Stories

I know it's quite late to post an Easter egg for a game that was released about 4 years ago, but I find it hard to hold on, you know.

Here goes, I was playing GTA Liberty City Stories on my Sony PSP today when I tuned to a radio station called Radio Del Mundo. It was a radio station appreciating International music. And just then, I recognized that the song playing was "Dum Maro Dum", a song from a retro Bollywood flick, but popular as hell. I was really taken aback as this was completely unexpected.

I would like to thank Rockstar games, Rockstar Leeds, Sam Houser, and nearly everyone for recognizing and using Indian Music in your game. Cheers!

2 States Book Review

I was really excited when I bought 2 States: The story of my marriage by Chetan Bhagat. And here I present the book review:

2 States is Chetan's approach towards love marriages in India. The story starts of really well with typical CB humor that you are used to in his earlier books. This book also carries the same elements of excitement and curiosity that all his books are embedded with. In pretty simple lingo, you would constantly find yourself curious about the events that are bound to happen as the plot continues.

The typical CB humor is still there, and this time Chetan takes it on the South Indians on their Lingo, culinary preferences and not sounding racist, their complexion. But Chetan mentions in the beginning that he is not against them and loves South Indians, so don't expect a scandal out of it.

At many a time, you will find this book being a sequel to his debut novel, Five Point Someone, which I find really interesting and cumbersome at the same time.

Though the book is really awesome in most grounds, there are some points in the story where the facts are simply indigestible. The story is set in the late 1990s or early 2000s and my favorite author showcases a living relationship between the characters at that point of time. Also, he missed out on simple and short points, like the main character of the story, has no friends in college (as there is not even a vague mention of them).
Moreover, the end of the story is really boring except for a pinch of humor or two added between the lines.
The ending is simply not intense as 3 mistakes of my life and is quite cheesy, to put it right.

Overall, my expectations were high and I am quite disappointed. I give it a 3.5/5.

Just wanna rant 'n' rave

Winter is back, and pretty late this time in Kota, Rajasthan. I have started feeling the cold vibes of December and it's gonna be cold as hell.

In some unrelating news, I have lost track of studies in the Diwali break and find myself gloomy all the time. Moreover, I recently developed a crush over a girl (yet again) and find myself not able to concentrate in things that matter a bit more.

Life is gloomy, enjoy it!

Just got my hands on Chetan's new novel

If you don't know already, I am a die hard fan of Chetan Bhagat for his humorous writing style and 'witty' novels. I have already read all 3 novels of his, and just got his 4th novel, which was released this Diwali.

The name of the novel is 2 States: the story of my marriage and is about love marriages in India. One interesting thing to know from the title is that this is the first time when Chetan Bhagat's book contains an even number in it's title.

The cover design is really sober with red, the color of love as the background color and I just love the fonts of 2 states title. Gotta get them somehow.

It's enough for today folks, bye.

Happy Diwali to all my readers

It's not been over a week since this blog has been revamped and I still doubt if their is any reader base of my blog out there.

But still, I would like to share my feelings about a wonderful Indian festival called Diwali. I am not gonna bore you with all the useless history and info about this festival, as most of you would already be knowing about it, and those out their who don't know, there's always WikiPedia

This festival means a lot to me as this is the time when we usually organize a family get-together and celebrate our oneness and stuff like that.

The lovely sound of crackers bursting, the enchanting visual effects created by the crackers, the disturbing noise of crackers when you are trying to sleep and the scattered material of crackers spread all over the road in the morning. This is what Diwali is to me. I love it nonetheless.

Happy Diwali to all my readers..... Keep rocking.

At my native place

After a lot of time, like 2 years, I revisited my native place. It's a town called Nawa City (weird, huh) and is a 2 hour drive from Jaipur.

The whole family of mine gathers here during the festive season of Diwali. In my childhood, I used to hate this place for sanitary and entertainment reasons, but with time, the place improved and I grew up too!

This place is like embedded in my soul, from the temple of Ganga Mata to the interesting cricket matches played by our family, everything seems to be scratched permanently within my mind.

I am really happy to announce that I am back here for somedays and already started re-living those unforgettable experiences.

Suzanne Mukherjee climbing the stairs of success

Suzanne Mukherjee, the girl from Roadies hell down under (often misspelled as Suzanna) and the girl whom I have a secret crush on since the very first day I saw her.

Her career kickstarted from the reality show MTV Hero Honda Roadies and then she enrolled herself into Show Biz by getting a portfolio prepared. She looked wonderful in that portfolio and though my crush changes every month, I thought of continuing to secretly admire her beauty.

Slowly, as she came into limelight, she got signed up for a daily soap called Basera and that's when I thought that this is the girl that has got the skills.

And today, I spotted her in an ad of Fair and Lovely beauty cream. She looked cute as always.

I wish Suzanne luck as she continues her career and whole-heartedly wish her immense success in whatever she does.

P.S.:I hope to see her in a movie soon.

Pulsar 220 is a monster

No matter how much pictures or videos you have watched about the Pulsar 220 on the Internet, when you actually see it, you are left wide-eyed.

I rode this awesome bike today with my friend and man it was sooooo amazing. Be it the looks or the power, the Pulsar 220 tops it all.

In looks, it resembles a monster and in power, it is the god. Any crazy bike lover looking to buy the Yamaha Fazer, Karizma or whatever behold…just try the Pulsar 220.

This is my personal view and I have not been paid any incentives by anyone to write this, unlike some people might think.
