Paa...an awesome experience
Just came back after watching Paa, and boy oh boy, it's awesome. It made me a fan of Amitabh Bacchan, whom I kinda hated earlier. Amitabh Bacchan still remains a gem of the Indian film industry and I really liked his performance as Auro.

The movie is great, and I assume you already know the plot from the world wide web. The movie is extremely hilarious, most of whose credit goes to the Big B. The small B looked like a rip off of Anil K from Nayak, but still did a great job. And vidya balan rocked. She's a great actress, especially in the role of a mother (don't take it negatively).
And moreover all this fun won't cost you much time as the playtime of the movie is roughly 2 hours, excluding the interval.
And those who think it's a rip off from Benjamin Button, get a life, and stop spreading rumours.

De Dana Dan Movie Review
Recently Watched De Dana Dan, another movie having the hit Akshay Katrina Jodi, And the Ultimate Akshay-Suniel-Paresh Trio. I found that the movie was an ultimate laugh riot. You will be laughing your hearts out on this, and the movie is like 70% family friendly. I can't tell you the plot of the movie, not because it will be a spoiler, because I myself have no idea of it as yet.
I am still confused with the plot, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. You will have to leave your brains at home to enjoy this movie. And don't try to catch up with the plot, otherwise the movie will lose its charm. Anyways, The best performances were from Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and some other characters whose name I don't know. Suniel Shetty was disappointing. Buckle Up, Anna.
I hated it when the director locked Akshay Kumar in a cupboard for about 1/3rd of the movie. And it was when he was released is when the crowd roared like wolfs (wrong similes). During Akshay's absence, the other characters of the movie try to preserve the laughs, and are quite successful with it. The movie is a definite must watch. I give it a 5/5.
Note: If you read the TOI review, and think that you won't attend the movie, then you are a complete jerk. TOI has no logic in their reviews as yet. They are one of the most confused people in the review industry. I mean, they just want Indian movies to be hollywood style, that's it.

Outsourced: Movies like these rock!!!
Outsourced is one great movie and it has fetched a dozen awards from a dozen different publishers, yet I, and many other people don't even have a vague idea of it. Shame, isn't it?
But I saw Outsourced on Star Movies yesterday. It wasn't a plan, it coincidently happened as I was browsing my channels.
The movie was awesome, and an Indian would definitely love it, for the cozy home feeling definitely. There are some real funny instances, and some real emotional instances.
The movie has quite a latent moral and should be watched by everyone, atleast once.
I am not actually reviewing the movie, but If I were, I would have given it a 5/5. I love it. Check out its trailer below:

Tum Mile Movie Review
Recently Watched Tum Mile, a movie partially based on the Mumbai Floods from the Bhatt Camp.
Well, the story is pretty simple, Two people, one boy, one girl (cause it's not Dostana), meet, fall in love, move in together, say sh*t to each other, break up...
6 years later...They meet again, they are shy with each other, then there is flood in Mumbai, they get wet, the hero saves the lady, lady gets impressed, falls in love (again), and they patch up.
Even with such a simple story, the screenplay is very complicated. And many parts of the movie make you go "What the hell is happening?" or "Where the hell is the popcorn?". Performances by Soha and Emraan is pretty good, especially Emraan in the first half. His emotions, reactions, just sound and feel really natural and down to earth. Happy to know this aint a fairytale. Things are pretty messed up in the second half, with hardly any comic sense. There's thrill, emotion and drama all the way from the second half.
Yet the movie maintains a great theme and for the people who say that this is a copy from Titanic, roll a newspaper and stick it up your a*s...Coz this movie is completely original. 100%.
The Music is awesome too, my favorite tracks include Tum Mile, Tu Hi Haqeeqat, and Dil Ibaadat.
Overall, a nice romantic movie, with good music, a nice (yet complicated) storyline and stuff like that.

Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani Review
Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani is a movie that has a very different story from other bollywood flicks. The story is really funny and there are parts where you will surely be laughing your hearts out. I really liked Katrina's performance in this movie, especially her voice and level of excitement throughout the movie.Ranbir Kapoor did a great role too. But Upen Patel was a spoiler, he did nothing remarkable.
Salman Khan's guest appearance was quite expected, yet it was surprising. The quickly twisting plot, and sometimes the emotions displayed by Ranbir are unique. The humor in this movie is very much goofy and slapstick, though there are some quick witty lines of fun here and there. It is a one time watch, and an amazing way to spend two and a half hours. Watch it, for the special plot this story speaks and for the amazing humor.
I give this movie a 4/5.
An Easter Egg
In this movie, Katrina breaks her marriage in the end and instead marries Prem. This is yet another movie where Katrina is unable to marry someone she is unwilling to and instead marries the hero, thus she breaks her marriage.
Earlier, it has happened with a number of Katrina Kaif movies such as:-
Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya
Humko Deewana Kar Gaye
Welcome

An interesting Easter egg in GTA Liberty City Stories
I know it's quite late to post an Easter egg for a game that was released about 4 years ago, but I find it hard to hold on, you know.

Here goes, I was playing GTA Liberty City Stories on my Sony PSP today when I tuned to a radio station called Radio Del Mundo. It was a radio station appreciating International music. And just then, I recognized that the song playing was "Dum Maro Dum", a song from a retro Bollywood flick, but popular as hell. I was really taken aback as this was completely unexpected.
I would like to thank Rockstar games, Rockstar Leeds, Sam Houser, and nearly everyone for recognizing and using Indian Music in your game. Cheers!

2 States Book Review
I was really excited when I bought 2 States: The story of my marriage by Chetan Bhagat. And here I present the book review:
2 States is Chetan's approach towards love marriages in India. The story starts of really well with typical CB humor that you are used to in his earlier books. This book also carries the same elements of excitement and curiosity that all his books are embedded with. In pretty simple lingo, you would constantly find yourself curious about the events that are bound to happen as the plot continues.

The typical CB humor is still there, and this time Chetan takes it on the South Indians on their Lingo, culinary preferences and not sounding racist, their complexion. But Chetan mentions in the beginning that he is not against them and loves South Indians, so don't expect a scandal out of it.
At many a time, you will find this book being a sequel to his debut novel, Five Point Someone, which I find really interesting and cumbersome at the same time.
Though the book is really awesome in most grounds, there are some points in the story where the facts are simply indigestible. The story is set in the late 1990s or early 2000s and my favorite author showcases a living relationship between the characters at that point of time. Also, he missed out on simple and short points, like the main character of the story, has no friends in college (as there is not even a vague mention of them).
Moreover, the end of the story is really boring except for a pinch of humor or two added between the lines.
The ending is simply not intense as 3 mistakes of my life and is quite cheesy, to put it right.
Overall, my expectations were high and I am quite disappointed. I give it a 3.5/5.

Just wanna rant 'n' rave
Winter is back, and pretty late this time in Kota, Rajasthan. I have started feeling the cold vibes of December and it's gonna be cold as hell.
In some unrelating news, I have lost track of studies in the Diwali break and find myself gloomy all the time. Moreover, I recently developed a crush over a girl (yet again) and find myself not able to concentrate in things that matter a bit more.
Life is gloomy, enjoy it!

Just got my hands on Chetan's new novel
If you don't know already, I am a die hard fan of Chetan Bhagat for his humorous writing style and 'witty' novels. I have already read all 3 novels of his, and just got his 4th novel, which was released this Diwali.
The name of the novel is 2 States: the story of my marriage and is about love marriages in India. One interesting thing to know from the title is that this is the first time when Chetan Bhagat's book contains an even number in it's title.

The cover design is really sober with red, the color of love as the background color and I just love the fonts of 2 states title. Gotta get them somehow.
It's enough for today folks, bye.

Happy Diwali to all my readers
It's not been over a week since this blog has been revamped and I still doubt if their is any reader base of my blog out there.
But still, I would like to share my feelings about a wonderful Indian festival called Diwali. I am not gonna bore you with all the useless history and info about this festival, as most of you would already be knowing about it, and those out their who don't know, there's always WikiPedia
This festival means a lot to me as this is the time when we usually organize a family get-together and celebrate our oneness and stuff like that.
The lovely sound of crackers bursting, the enchanting visual effects created by the crackers, the disturbing noise of crackers when you are trying to sleep and the scattered material of crackers spread all over the road in the morning. This is what Diwali is to me. I love it nonetheless.
Happy Diwali to all my readers..... Keep rocking.

At my native place
After a lot of time, like 2 years, I revisited my native place. It's a town called Nawa City (weird, huh) and is a 2 hour drive from Jaipur.
The whole family of mine gathers here during the festive season of Diwali. In my childhood, I used to hate this place for sanitary and entertainment reasons, but with time, the place improved and I grew up too!
This place is like embedded in my soul, from the temple of Ganga Mata to the interesting cricket matches played by our family, everything seems to be scratched permanently within my mind.
I am really happy to announce that I am back here for somedays and already started re-living those unforgettable experiences.

Suzanne Mukherjee climbing the stairs of success
Suzanne Mukherjee, the girl from Roadies hell down under (often misspelled as Suzanna) and the girl whom I have a secret crush on since the very first day I saw her.

Her career kickstarted from the reality show MTV Hero Honda Roadies and then she enrolled herself into Show Biz by getting a portfolio prepared. She looked wonderful in that portfolio and though my crush changes every month, I thought of continuing to secretly admire her beauty.
Slowly, as she came into limelight, she got signed up for a daily soap called Basera and that's when I thought that this is the girl that has got the skills.
And today, I spotted her in an ad of Fair and Lovely beauty cream. She looked cute as always.
I wish Suzanne luck as she continues her career and whole-heartedly wish her immense success in whatever she does.
P.S.:I hope to see her in a movie soon.
